Here in the mountains of Haiti is very lush farm ground. All year-round they can grow crops of beautiful produce. Above, is a photo of some cultivating. Below, is a photo of what we could call sugar snap peas. When you taste them they would taste the same. But they let them mature until they are dry and then cook them with their rice.

Wendy LavyThis blog was inspired by the creativity of the Haitian people. The ideas of how they "Go Green" is because they have to save and make do with what they have. Unlike the American people with too much, that they don't think about waste. Their gardening and produce is grown mostly without pesticides, because they don't have it or they cannot afford it. In 2012-2014 our family had the opportunity to serve as missionaries in Haiti. We learned a lot and made many new friends there. Although we are now back to our home in America, we left a piece of our hearts there and try to visit and help where we can. Archives
