When you have burlap strips left from a project, make a wreath! This is made from a styrofoam wreath base. Wrap the strips around and secure end with a pin. Then, to make roses I used wide, wired-fabric ribbon. Fold ribbon in half horizontally and roll up into a rose (as you roll it make it uneven, to make it look more like a flower). Secure onto wreath with a straight pin. You could also tuck in sprigs of boxwood around the roses for a fuller look, be creative!

Wendy LavyThis blog was inspired by the creativity of the Haitian people. The ideas of how they "Go Green" is because they have to save and make do with what they have. Unlike the American people with too much, that they don't think about waste. Their gardening and produce is grown mostly without pesticides, because they don't have it or they cannot afford it. In 2012-2014 our family had the opportunity to serve as missionaries in Haiti. We learned a lot and made many new friends there. Although we are now back to our home in America, we left a piece of our hearts there and try to visit and help where we can. Archives
