"In the beginning God created....."
Colors! I just love this picture I took in Petionville (south of Port au Prince), I loved the setting. The top with the lush green, the bottom is the top of a building of some kind of a tea room? with the Roman numeral clock, the upper center right with the unpainted houses and all the other beautiful colors of houses all stacked on each other up the hill. This is not a sight you see much in Port au Prince, but more of trash and unpainted houses in an unorderly fashion.
But the more I looked at this it made me think about how God created the different colors of people. Something I read today triggered some thoughts...If God wanted all white people he would've created them all white, or black, blue ect... But I wonder if order was just too plain and boring for God; so he mixed it up? He wanted the best of all worlds, so he blessed us when He created all the variety of colors to choose from the rainbow!
Somehow I think of it more in Haiti, when some days the color of my skin stands out and yet how I love how He created us all uniquely different. But for one main purpose; to serve, honor and glorify Him.
