Look at the size of these cabbages! Big and beautiful cabbages are grown here in the mountains of Haiti, most of them without any pesticides or fertilizer. Cabbages are grown year-around here and I am learning to use them more in cooking because of their availability. It is excellent in stir-fry, soup, salads and many other things!

Wendy LavyThis blog was inspired by the creativity of the Haitian people. The ideas of how they "Go Green" is because they have to save and make do with what they have. Unlike the American people with too much, that they don't think about waste. Their gardening and produce is grown mostly without pesticides, because they don't have it or they cannot afford it. In 2012-2014 our family had the opportunity to serve as missionaries in Haiti. We learned a lot and made many new friends there. Although we are now back to our home in America, we left a piece of our hearts there and try to visit and help where we can. Archives
