So it is with our lives, the seeds we plant, the soil we till, will someday pay off! Not only in this life, but for our eternal lives. Praise God, that He has an awesome plan!
In the springtime when we begin to plant the first seeds around the end of March, its just the beginning of our journey through another flower season. The tilling, weeding and many hours of planting plugs in the ground takes work and yet we have to keep the vision. The vision that at some point; we begin to harvest, enjoy and reap. That is the season we are in now! Of course, we are still planting for Fall and working on weeds and fertilizing our plants. But we now get to enjoy a lot our work blooming! So it is with our lives, the seeds we plant, the soil we till, will someday pay off! Not only in this life, but for our eternal lives. Praise God, that He has an awesome plan!

It is important for the bride to be to have vibrant, long-lasting flowers for her special day! This is where we can help, we have several different options we offer with our flowers; fresh-cut for your special day! ~DIY.......this option is for you to order buckets of flowers ahead of time that you will put together yourself. Buckets consist of 15-25 blooms of stems ranging from $5-$30 a bucket, depending on what you choose. This is the most economical way for your flower arrangements if you or a family member/friend likes to arrange and design! ~A la carte*...... we make bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages and pair it with your other DIY flowers. This saves you time and money, and helps take off the stress of doing all the detailed work. ~Full service* we take care of all your flower arranging needs, and deliver on the day of the wedding.
A lot of us are new to the idea of a what a flower subscription even is? So I wanted to share with about what an awesome idea this is!
1st of all, how many of you want to have a fresh bouquet of flowers on your table every week? Of course, all of us! And most of us, would prefer something that is local and lasts as long as possible! Local flowers mean they have not had harsh ingredients put on them to be shipped and processed, but something that has been freshly picked from a farm near you! And 2nd, some of us have a loved one that we would love to be able to give flowers to but the cost of flowers from a florist is just too pricey! 3rd, many businesses purchase flowers every week and this an awesome idea to have your LOCAL flowers delivered to you each week! 4th, when you purchase a flower subscription you get the best picks! What this means is that the flower subscription bouquets are always what gets put together first. And, if you want to request colors and such; you just drop me an e-mail and request that week! 5th, you support your local farmer! By paying for your flowers in the beginning of the season, this helps us as we have a lot of cost in the spring as we get your seeds, bulbs and plugs started to enjoy later! Our flower farm is located in New Carlisle, Ohio where we have currently have 1 acre of flowers which includes one unheated greenhouse where we can grow earlier blooms and better quality flowers that don't want the intense sun. Flowers are also available for pick-up at the farm. SO HOW DOES THIS WORK? You purchase a flower subscription ahead of time and you have choices on how often you want your subscription: Monthly (April-Oct.) Bi-weekly (July-Sept. 6 weeks) Weekly (July-Sept. 12 weeks) We have pick-up locations on Thursdays @ the Second Street Market in Dayton or Saturdays @ the Heights Farmers Market in Huber Heights. We also offer delivery (charge by the mile) All you need to do is fill out your form and we can take credit card over the phone or mail in your payment. Also, @ our market locations, where we can accept cash, check and credit. Upon payment, you will receive a postcard with all of our contact info ect...and that will also show you what you purchased! What a great gift for yourself and for others! Its been exciting to put up our first unheated greenhouse (also know as a hoop house) last Fall! We got 750 anemone corms planted and 300 ranunculus in November and watched them sprout and bloom into beautiful flowers!
On a 30 degree sunny day, you can walk in here to a balmy 70 degrees! What an awesome way to chase the winter blues away! Aside from the perk of having fresh, local flowers to sell and enjoy in March! We soon will be planting Lisianthus to fill this thing up to the max for some awesome summer flowers! We sell flowers wholesale to local florists and retail as well. Flowers are available for pick-up at the flower farm in New Carlisle, Farmers Market, (see home page for dates and location) and delivery. With all this rain, everything is growing like crazy! We are cutting zinnias and dahlias now in addition to our silver tip grass. It's so fun to watch it grow! This time of year we spend hours trying to weed and mulch,, that's been interesting with all this rain! We set-up at the Huber Heights farmers market on Saturdays and occasionally the Fairborn farmers market on Wednesdays. We also grow flowers for local florists and DIY brides. We take orders for an arrangement to be picked up or delivery anytime!
We have peonies ready for all your events for Memorial Day weekend! We are taking orders or visit us @ the Heights Farmers Market this Saturday from 9-1. Wrapped Bouquets ready for $10 or Peonies by the stem $2. Bring your vase and we will gladly arrange flowers for you!

Wendy LavyThis blog was inspired by the creativity of the Haitian people. The ideas of how they "Go Green" is because they have to save and make do with what they have. Unlike the American people with too much, that they don't think about waste. Their gardening and produce is grown mostly without pesticides, because they don't have it or they cannot afford it. In 2012-2014 our family had the opportunity to serve as missionaries in Haiti. We learned a lot and made many new friends there. Although we are now back to our home in America, we left a piece of our hearts there and try to visit and help where we can. Archives
