As you drive thru the beautiful mountainside of Haiti, on the otherside lies a quaint little town called "Jacmel".

There is so much character in these neat old buildings. You could step in these side doors and find some very neat shops inside with many handmade items by Haitians-very fascinating!

yes, this is in Haiti. I just wonder what all used to happen here, before this country turned into a place of poverty.

In Jacmel they have a beautiful hotel along the beach called "Hotel Cyvadier".

We got to experience a little of this awesome place as we sat in the hammock and looked up at the swaying palm trees.

Enjoyed some of the delicious, in season fruit with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.

What a wonderful little get-away place, to get refreshed and ready to serve for Him again.

This blog was inspired by the creativity of the Haitian people. The ideas of how they "Go Green" is because they have to save and make do with what they have. Unlike the American people with too much, that they don't think about waste. Their gardening and produce is grown mostly without pesticides, because they don't have it or they cannot afford it. In 2012-2014 our family had the opportunity to serve as missionaries in Haiti. We learned a lot and made many new friends there. Although we are now back to our home in America, we left a piece of our hearts there and try to visit and help where we can.
